What is the difference between epoxy polysiloxane coating and acrylic polysiloxane coating?

Polysiloxane has excellent radiation resistance and chemical resistance, and its anti-nuclear pollution performance is also quite outstanding. Polysiloxane coatings are mainly epoxy polysiloxane coatings and acrylic polysiloxane coatings.

Their difference:

The characteristic of epoxy polysiloxane coating is its excellent corrosion resistance. It combines the properties of epoxy and polysiloxane, with resistance to minerals and organic, alkalis, oxidizing chemicals and aggressive solvents. Its overall chemical resistance exceeds that of MDA cured epoxy coatings and amine cured phenolic epoxy coatings.

The acrylic resin modified polysiloxane coating ensures weather resistance and improves its flexibility and recoating performance. The gloss retention of acrylic polysiloxane coatings is significantly better than that of epoxy polysiloxane coatings, especially under long-term exposure to the sun, this difference can be more obvious.
